  • Purpose is to give children the power to effect change, to contribute to the advancement of the world they will inherit and to give adults the opportunity to hear from the leaders of the future

  • Technologically advantaged to disadvantaged

  • 1000 entries will be selected to be part of an on-line forum, judging will be completed by June 29

  • Children will participate on-line in their own language - translation will be available on-line

  • Adults will help guide the children but children will drive the activity - from topics in chat rooms to design of the on-line forum

  • The MIT Media Lab is supplying computers to children who don't have access (approximately: 85 computers in 78 countries)

  • 100 participants will be selected as 'ambassadors' who will come to Cambridge in November for 6-day summit

  • Invited dignitaries - from political, social, academic, professional, business sectors
